Closer to God and Each Other
How can couples grow closer to God and each other? Couples can oftentimes become so accustomed to one another that their relationship becomes stale and predictable. When this happens, husbands can start taking their wife’s feelings for granted which often leaves her feeling demoralized and unappreciated.
Likewise, wives can become so preoccupied with work or family responsibilities that their husbands can become disengaged at home, resulting in families retreating by themselves to their their own private space in their home.
How can husbands and wives come closer to together as a family? Clearly, the demands of school, work, and home life are difficult to balance. Many couples are having a tough time adjusting to this balancing act. In our post, I will introduce you to Dr. David Clarke, a Christian psychologist and author of A Marriage After God’s Own Heart. Dr. Clarke talks about ways that he has found that helped him draw closer to God and closer to his wife, Sandy. I believe both husbands and wives can draw Dr. Clarke’s experiences.
